It has always been my dream to have my own business. As a kid, I always planned to attend veterinary school however I graduated with a degree in Hotel Management.  Papaw’s Dog House allows me to bring those two worlds together (the passion and love for animals and my knowledge of hospitality and service). This is how the Papaw’s Dog House dream first came to life.

 

My idea was to create a space where every single detail was designed thoughtfully and for the enjoyment of the dogs and where dog owners can leave their best friends knowing that they will be treated the same way owners do at home.  I wanted to build a unique space focused on health and well-being that was different from anything else in the marketplace, a service, and a care-oriented atmosphere that from the food, areas to play, and members of our Care Team is absolutely best-in-class.

I am a dog lover and owner. I have completed courses in Dog’s Cognition and understanding how dogs behave from Duke University, Animal Behaviour, and Welfare with the University of Edinburgh and I am certified in CPR and First Aid for dogs.

 

We live in a world where there is a growing understanding and concern about biodiversity and the animal world. I want to be part of that. As humans are taking better care of themselves I want to do the same for our dogs.
